No means no, it's a simple rule

Yet it's one that's often ignored, and it's time we make it cool

To speak up and speak out, and say no to rape

For consent is not a gray area, it's a clear and present shape

 

It's not about what you wore, or how you acted that night

It's not about whether you were flirting, or giving off the right signals, or if you were polite

It's about respect and consent, and the right to say no

It's about treating others with dignity, and letting them go

 

So let's all stand together, and say no to rape

Let's make it clear that it's never okay, and it's never too late

To speak up and speak out, and say no to hate

For consent is not a game, it's a fundamental human trait

 

So let's all be allies, and support each other's right

To say no to rape, and to stand up for what is right

For when we come together, and say no to this crime

We can make a difference, and help to heal over time
