The revival of this widespread nomenclature is no one but a Nigerian musician, a crowd-pleaser popularly known as Naira Marley. Naira Marley is an infamous internet fraudster who has somehow managed to escape from the grasp of law so many times, of course because, this is Nigeria. He has managed to brainwash so many youths that "Yahoo" is just a normal business. "It's getting back the money that politicians have embezzled and gone to hide in foreign countries" but the people they steal from worked hard to earn that money, and marlians (G-boys) find joy in bringing sorrow into people's lives. They find solace in making people miserable and depressed as long as they earn money. Lately, EFCC caught a guy in the Northern part of the country, and the "Yahoo boy" said Naira Marley's song gave him inspiration to go into cyber fraud – imagine!

The "Soapy" crooner without doubt is an ambassador of illegal acts and immoralities. His "Jo Soapy" album had made many Nigerian youths to think about masturbation alot especially in the Universities. Naira Marley's way of life has done more damages to the lives of Nigerian youths because these youngsters wanted to behave and act like him. It is so sad to see University students defending this Opotoyi. Even some so-called elders and figures of the society promote this filth. Moral decay has eaten deep into our society that people don't even realise, they blocked their senses with irrational opinions and ideologies. Naira Marley is killing the minds of young Nigerians. He's not alone though. There are myriads unmentioned whose intent is to feed the nation with corrupt, negative music in a rhythm people understand and under the disguise of Culture, fashion etc. The likes of "Science students" of Olamide; Erigga, a Nigerian rapper who disclosed that "Ashawo (otherwise known as prostitutes) makes much money than bankers". Now, University ladies had increased in Night hangouts; you know what I mean. They are into prostitution and body business. They see the life of Marlians more profitable and rewarding in this country where no job is guaranteed after graduation. Depressing! Are you a lover of these musicians and immorality influencers? Will you accommodate the truth in your life just for a second? These musicians have succeeded in feeding your mind with filth. Marlians have a lot of dirty mantras. They engage in all forms of immoralities yet publicise it and are not remorseful of refutations. They encourage bad behaviours and ideologies against the authority. They take religion as something insignificant, an infringement to freedom. They are Marlians, followers of Naira Marley and his co-musicians. They are proud of Igbo (aka weed, marijuana) and they see it as a normal food a typical should devour and embrace. They turn ladies into toys and they use them anyhow. Simply, they destroy their lives intentionally blinding believing they are succeeding. This is what it means to be a Marlian. What then should you become? A baddo?... Never!

Be a Muslim (who submit his wills and whims to Allah alone). A Muslim who stay away from toxic friends. A Muslim who move and accompanies good people who will always remind him that "he is usually about to die". Be a Salafi who will protect himself and society from a innovations and desperate traps of Shaytān.
