Quote from Ismaila Adepoju on May 30, 2023, 8:03 pm
Summit University Alumni and Public Celebrate Achievements and Visionary Initiatives Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria – Summit University alumni and the general public came together on Sunday, 28th May 2023, at 11:30 AM for a remarkable radio session on Harmony 103.5 FM Idofian, Kwara State. The session provided a platform for alumni of the University to comment on the achievements and visionary initiatives of Summit University, Offa, Kwara State. During the radio session, the alumni expressed their deep appreciation for the university's dedicated staff, with a special mention of the esteemed former Vice-Chancellor, Professor H. O. B. Oloyede, and the present Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun Musa Aibinu. Their influential leadership has played a pivotal role in upholding Summit University's values and vision. One of the highlights discussed was the innovative triple helix model introduced by the pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Professor H.O.B. Oloyede. Aptly named "Knowledge, Skill, and Moral," this model emphasizes the holistic development of students, instilling a strong foundation of academic knowledge, practical skills, and moral values. Summit University is known for its commitment to producing well-rounded individuals who can thrive in various professional and personal pursuits. The session also shed light on the present Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun Musa Aibinu's, 7-point skills mantra building on the existing triple helix model, which aims to shape the future of Summit University. The agenda includes focus areas such as Islam and Global Citizenship, Financial Literacy, Clean and Renewable Energy, Family and Leadership, Artificial Intelligence and ICT, AcadoPreneurship, and History, Heritage, and Storytelling. These key areas reflect the university's commitment to providing a well-rounded education that equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge for the challenges of the modern world. Another noteworthy aspect discussed was the availability of micro-certification programmes at Summit University. These programmes offer students an opportunity to acquire additional specialized skills alongside their Bachelor's degrees, providing a competitive edge in today's job market. Summit University's dedication to holistic education and industry-aligned practical skills was evident in their commitment to offering these valuable certifications. The radio session not only provided a platform for alumni to showcase Summit University's exemplary leadership and progressive initiatives but also allowed for a collective celebration of the university's success. Alumni and the general public alike were reminded of the institution's commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing sustainable solutions. As Summit University continues to make strides in delivering quality education, alumni and the wider community are encouraged to support and inspire future generations. Together, they can contribute to the continued growth and success of Summit University, nurturing individuals who will make a positive impact on society.
